- Lori and Mossimo were both spotted out and about amid the news.
Despite what you may have heard, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban aren't the only celebrity breakup you should be paying attention to this week. Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have reportedly split after 28 years of marriage and are currently living separately. “They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage,” Lori's rep Elizabeth Much confirmed to People.
It's unclear where Lori and Mossimo stand at the moment. Lori's rep explicitly told People, “There are no legal proceedings at this time,” which could mean a reconciliation isn't off the table quite yet. That said, the couple, who share daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli and Isabella Rose Giannulli, did put their Hidden Hills mansion up for sale for $16.5 million in February—just five years after purchasing it.
Meanwhile, Mossimo was reportedly seen on Thursday shopping with an unidentified woman in Beverly Hills. As for Lori, she was spotted having dinner with James Tupper on the night before.
Paparazzi caught photos of the actors enjoying a night out in LA, and even a snap of them sharing a hug, but according to Lori's rep, it's nothing to gossip about. “Lori and James have worked together and are old friends,” her rep told Us Weekly.
Fans hoping for more details might be disappointed. Despite being a public couple for about three decades, Lori and Mossimo have kept their marriage out of the spotlight. That is, until 2019, when the two were embroiled in the viral college cheating scandal, in which they were accused of paying $500,000 to get their daughters accepted into USC for college. In 2020, both pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud. Lori ended up serving almost two months in federal prison while Mossimo was sentenced to five months.
